Disabled Access

Eden Cottage Care Home is all on one level, with no stairs to negotiate, giving ease of access throughout the building and outside areas.

En-Suite Rooms

All bedrooms at Eden Cottage Care Home have en-suite facilities, giving the service user privacy and peace of mind.

Internet Access/WIFI

Eden Cottage Care Home provides free WIFI for service users to access and encourages service users to use it to keep in contact with family and friends.

Hairdressing Salon

Eden Cottage Care Home offers a weekly service by a visiting hairdresser in our on-site salon (this service is subject to a charge).

Foot spa and manicure sessions are offered as part of our activities programme.

Landscape/Sensory Gardens

Our well-kept gardens offer peace and tranquility throughout the year. Service users can enjoy plenty of outside spaces whilst relaxing on our sunny decking area, outdoor sensory garden and various benches situated throughout the grounds. We also have a log cabin which can be used for external visits in the colder months.

We encourage service users to access the outside areas to exercise and share their gardening skills. 

Special Dietary Requirements

Our head cook and catering team provide an array of nutritious, homecooked meals, drinks and snacks. We work to the guidance of the Focus on Undernutrition team to ensure that our menus are nutritious and well-balanced.

We can cater for a range of different dietary requirements and allergies. 

SALT assessments can be easily arranged and our team are fully trained to provide specialist meals whilst maintaining service user dignity. 

Activities

Eden Cottage is registered with NAPA to provide an activities programme to meet individual needs. This includes gentle chair exercises, baking, knitting/crochet, sing-songs, bingo, movie afternoons, pamper sessions, visiting entertainers, day trips and special events. Family members/friends are always welcome to participate in our activities sessions.

Infection Control Procedures

Eden Cottage  takes pride in our infection control procedures where we use an Otex ozone disinfection system, which disinfects laundry effectively and efficiently. The system kills 99.999% of harmful micro-organisms such as MRSA, E.Coli, Norovirus and C.difficile spores. Routine cleaning schedules are in place to ensure that we meet Infection Control requirements.
